Foods that might cause body odor

Even since the age of 17 (I am 27 now), I have had extreme body odor and bad breath.

I have been a vegetarian all my life and never had alcohol, eggs, or fish. In fact, I don't even have onions, garlic, or dairy products. I have cut most spices from my diet. My weight is normal according to the BMI index. I used to be a chocoholic in my teens. For the last 1 month, I have stopped eating chocolates but only noticed a marginal improvement in body odor. I eat no sugar or junk food.

I have tried every imaginable product to cure my body odor for the last ten years including all the ones listed on this site. But nothing has worked and most products make the body odor worse. I believe that this odor is being caused by my diet.

I was thinking that we could all perhaps list the foods that we consume and find a common ingredient that is causing this. My diet is as follows. For those that understand the Hindi language, I have provided the explanation in brackets:

1. Whole Wheat (Paratha)
2. Chickpeas (Chane)
3. Salt
4. Red Chilli Powder (Mirch)
5. Semolina (Suji)
6. Sunflower Oil
7. Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
8. Basmati Rice
9. Lentils and Curries (Mussoor, Arhar, Rajma, Kadi, Khichidi, Chole)
10. Cottage Cheese (Paneer)
11. Tomatoes
12. Beans
13. Cauliflower
14. Cabbage
15. Capsicums
16. Okra (Bhindi)
17. Gram Flour (Besan)
18. Fruits such as Apples, Orange, Watermelon, Papaya
19. Fresh Coconut
20. Pasta made from Semolina
21. Green Tea

Re: Foods that might cause body odor

What type of odor do you have? ie. What does it smell like, be as descriptive as possible.
