Talking Re: I went to the dietician

Hello,

Stress is your culprit. I speak from personal experience with coworkers. I think being around people who make us nervous or intimidate us makes us produce an odor. I think our bodies go into defense mode and unconsciously give off an odor.

I recently had an experience with a young man that I think has some form of tmau. We first met when he came to my house to give me an estimate on repairs. He smelled of bo but not bo from under the arm per say. When we met early the next morning at the store to get supplies he did not smell (I figured he was fresh out of a shower). By the time he started on the repair he smelled like bo again. After completing the first repair he asked me if I was ok with it. I told him he did a great job. The odor went away. The rest of the day and the next he did not smell.

I agree with this completely. Its a bit of a catch-22, you distance yourself from intimidating people because of their reactions, and this only further isolates you, creating more stress.

Odor sufferers all deserve a more supportive environment.
It also helps if you are good at your job, cause then they need to support you to get the work they want done.
